Yum Yum. One more of our quick recipe. With only few ingredients this turned out to be a hit at our home. Everyone loved it and it’s so easy to make.
This recipe came about one day when I saw some chicken and bok choy in the fridge. I thought, what if I could combine them together in a dish. Ok. something to cook with the chicken that the kids would also try with some fried bok choy. Now the chicken has to be a bit on the sweeter side, and what better way than to mix in some sweet thai style ingredients.
Lets look at the ingredients first
Ingredients
– 2lb Chicken breast, cut into small pieces
– Oil to fry
– Korean Bok Choy, about 3
For Sauce
– 1/4 tsp garlic powder
– 1/4 tsp ginger powder
– 1tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
– 2 tpsp soy sauce
– 1 tbsp thai style chilli sauce
– 1 tbsp szchuan chilli sauce
– 3 tbsp corn starch
– 1/2 tbsp sugar
Steps
– Mix chicken and sauce ingredients together in a bowl
– Heat oil in frying pan
– Fry the chicken in batches for about 6 minutes
– After all the chicken is fried in another pan heat a little oil
– Fry the bok choy for about 1 minute
– Switch off the stove and layer the fried chicken on top of fried Bok Choy
– Close lid and let it sit for about 5 minutes
– Serve hot
This is a meal by itself. Sweet and spicy chicken with fried bok choy.
