The first time I had Pork Bulgogi or Korean BBQ Pork was in a korean restaurant. It was so tasty with a wonderful flavour and I relished it so much, I tried to find the recipe to someday make it at home. Luckly, I found Korean B.B.Q Bulgogi sauce in an Asian Market and tried it with pork. It was so easy and very tasty and best of all so simple.
Pork is a versatile meat that cooks quickly and tastes well. The first recipe we saw was the Pork Curry with Instant Pot. That was based on indian style cooking. This Korean BBQ Pork recipe is completely different and yet same cut of meat.
Total prep time is about 2 minutes if meat is already cut into 1 inch square pieces or about 5 minutes to cut. The longer the marination, the better it’s going to taste. Don’t have to add anything else except the marinade and pork.
Prep
- Total prep time : 5 minutes
- Marinade time : 1-2 hours
- Cook Time : 3-7 minutes per batch
Lets look at the ingredients next.
Ingredients
- Pork Chops, cut into 1 inch pieces
- Korean B.B.Q Bulgogi Marinade Sauce
- Oil to fry
Steps
- In a bowl, Mix pork and Bulgogi sauce
- Cover and place the bowl in the fridge for about 2 hours
- Heat a little oil in a deep dish frying pan
- Cook the marinated pork in batches until they are deep brown as shown below
- Once cooked place in a bowl lined with Kitchen paper towel to drain excess oil
- Serve Hot
This is the most simplest Korean BBQ Pork dish. You can add some bok choy right before removing from pan. Goes well with fried rice, lo mein, white rice, etc
